OUR STORY
Founded in May 2020 Manomãn is a home textile brand launched between Bangkok and Copenhagen by Agne Montvilaite and Manisara Khumwattana (Ni).
At Manomãn we aim to build a way of living where everyone in our universe can enjoy a slow and peaceful time: for us it’s time to create something we truly believe in, for our crafters it’s time to indulge in their beloved crafts and for our customers it’s time at their homes enjoying our products and creating a more beautiful everyday’s living.
We embody this vision and support the slow fashion movement by making small-batch handmade products that are ethically sourced from natural long-lasting uncompromised quality materials with modern aesthetics and functionality in mind which outlive seasons and years.
We identify ourselves as a responsible brand that carries its social and environmental impact in mind and tries to become more sustainable with each decision we make and step we take.
Today Manomãn has successfully earned its name not only in Thailand but also in all Southeast Asia with a growing international customer base and retail partners all over the region.
WE ARE CONSCIOUS
We remain conscious and responsible of our environmental impact therefore we continuously search for environmentally friendly solutions.
The fabrics that we use are all durable and 100% natural, which makes our products to last long and also biodegradable. 70% of our production is made of linen which is one of the most eco-friendly fabrics. The flax plant of which linen is made of needs considerably fewer resources than other plants, it can grow in a poor soil which is not used for food production and might even rehabilitate polluted soil. Flax plants also have a high rate of carbon absorption. In addition , the whole plant can be woven into a fiber resulting in no or almost no waste left from the spinning and weaving process.
Our packaging is 100% recycled/compostable or re-usable.
We pay fair market wages for all crafters that work with us.
